Searchlight Pictures

Searchlight Pictures (formerly named Fox Searchlight Pictures) is an American film distribution studio that is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Studios owned by The Walt Disney Company. It is a sister studio of the larger film studio 20th Century Studios (formerly 20th Century Fox). Searchlight specializes in the production and distribution of independent North American and European films alongside comedy-drama, horror, art-house, and foreign films, all of which the studio sometimes finances.
